1st Saturday: Sneaky Tree
May 1, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm CDT
Mixing Native American themes with rock ‘n’ roll, Sneaky Tree is about lifitng up the human spirit and telling stories of the human condition. A mixed Native American, spACEy (Billy Lyons) has been a singer/songwriter/guitarist for Sneaky Tree since its inception. spACEy struggled with his identity and after moving to the Bok Cito community on the Mississippi Choctaw reservation at 19 years old, was able to shed the misconceptions of what it meant to be Native American. He has a starring role in the movie John Nieto, An American Spirit Walk, due out this spring on Netflix, and is a cast member of Tattoos and Turnpikes which airs on YouTube. Grab a seat in the courtyard for Sneaky Tree’s performance. Free with museum admission.
