Tennessee Williams visited and lived in Key West from 1941 until his death in 1983. It was there he wrote the final draft of A Street Car Named Desire. Williams established residence on the island in 1949 and bought property at 1431 Duncan Street, his home for 34 years. Convertito will explore Williams’ connection to Key West, a place he loved to work and play. Registration required. Free with museum admission. Convertito’s talk will also be livestreamed on Vimeo and Facebook Live.
