First Saturday: Celebrating Black History

Join us for our first First Saturday at The MAX. Here’s the schedule for the day’s events: 10am–Noon Make + Take Workshop; 11–11:45 performance of “Death by Design” by Meridian High School drama students; Noon–1pm Music by Aa’Keela Hudnall; 1–2pm Collage Workshop with Lindsay Carraway; 2–3:30pm Blues Presentation by Gayle Dean Wardlow. The Governor’s Recording Studio will be open to the public from 9am–4:30pm. Pictured: Author Richard Wright.

Enjoy reduced admission, free refreshments all day, and a Black History-themed scavenger hunt. Discount admission: $5 Adults  |  $1 Youth 6–17  |  Kids 5 and under + Members free. All events are free with admission. Class size limited and registration required for the collage workshop.
