The 65th Anniversary Season of the Meridian Symphony Orchestra opens with the spotlight on the cello, with a bold blend of sound and spirit. “Bach, Bohemia, & a Bit of Jazz” showcases the expressive power of the cello—solo, soulful, and swinging—a vibrant night of storytelling.
You’ll hear J.S. Bach’s iconic solo cello—pure and introspective—followed by Dvořák’s warm and spirited “Serenade for Winds,” and concluding with Friedrich Gulda’s wildly entertaining “Cello Concerto,” where classical meets jazz, rock, and the unexpected.
