Whistlestop Weekend Screening of This Property is Condemned
Whether you’re in town for Rail Fest, headed to Soulé Steam Festival, or coming to The MAX to see the large-scale welded sculpture in Cecelia Moseley: Remnants of Language–there’s some serious metal happening on Front Street.
Starring Robert Redford and Natalie Wood, this 1966 film is an adaptation of a Tennessee Williams play and includes Meridian’s own Ella G, the antique passenger car behind Union Station and the Meridian Railroad Museum. Partially filmed in Pass Christian, Mississippi, This Property is Condemned reflects some of the ways that railroads have shaped Mississippi culture.
On loop all day, the film begins at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm.
