Exhibit on Display through March 19
Lyrical steel curves, splashes of bright color, and provocative questions about barriers to understanding come together in an exhibition at the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience (The MAX) in Meridian. Cecelia Moseley: Remnants of Language transforms the gallery into an immersive, deeply personal experience on display through March 19, 2026. Oversized metal sculptures, prints, and a vivid acrylic installation invite you to consider what remains—and what is lost—when digital communication replaces handwriting. Meridian native Cecelia Moseley poses powerful questions: As we move forward, what traces remain? How are we adapting? What parts of us are changing?
About the Artist:
Cecelia Moseley earned a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Mississippi in 2020 and completed an MFA in Sculpture at Louisiana State University in 2024. Her public art can be found at the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Meridian, the Mathews-Sanders Sculpture Garden in Cleveland, MS, in Oxford, MS, and Rosemary Beach, FL.
This fall, Cecelia will be teaching mixed media at Samford University. In addition to her work as an artist and academic, Cecelia organizes workshops, delivers public talks, and curates exhibitions. She is the Operations Manager at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham, AL, and she has also been the project leader and social media marketing director for the Yokna Sculpture Trail in Oxford since 2020. She is the workshop’s deputy director on the steering committee for the 2025 National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices in Birmingham, AL.
